Foundation Skills

Once the dog is engaged with the handler and knows basic commands, we can begin training with expectations

In this class, we will:

Introduce training sequences and a variable (random) reinforcement schedule
Teach the dog to work with the handler without visible food
Begin to work under increasing levels of distraction
Introduce motion exercises in close proximity to other dogs
Improve your dog’s impulse control
Generalize obedience by introducing different training scenarios
Proof the behaviors Sit, Down, Spot, Come and Walking with Attention

This class is for dogs who have completed Level 1 - Handling and Engagement Class

Class sizes range from 4 - 6 dogs

COST: 4 week class/$200

**Please make sure you are available for all 4 classes. We may be able to offer make up classes with an additional fee of $30 per class. Make Up classes are dependent on our trainer’s time and availability.
