Foundation Skills

Once the dog is engaged with the handler and knows basic commands, we can begin training with expectations

Prerequisite: Level 1 - Handling and Engagement ClassSkills We Will Work On:
- Introduce training sequences and a variable (random) reinforcement schedule
- Teach the dog to work with the handler without visible food
- Begin to work under increasing levels of distraction
- Introduce motion exercises in close proximity to other dogs
- Improve your dog’s impulse control
- Generalize obedience by introducing different training scenarios
- Proof the behaviors Sit, Down, Spot, Come and Walking with Attention
Class sizes range from 4 - 6 dogs

COST: $200/Four Week Class

**Please make sure you are available for all 4 classes. We may be able to offer make up classes with an additional fee of $30 per class. Make Up classes are dependent on our trainer’s time and availability.
