Handling and Engagement

For training to be successful, the dog must be a willing and active participant.

Dogs will learn:

To focus on the handler
To become invested in the training process
To develop a high level of engagement
To focus on training in the presence of distractions and other dogs
Sit, Down, Spot, Come, Loose Leash Walking with Attention

Handlers will learn:

To communicate clearly with a clicker
To communicate with verbal markers
To communicate with body language
Good leash skills
To teach your dog to think and offer behaviors independently (this is the strongest type of learning)

Class sizes range from 4-6 dogs

COST: 4 week class/$200

**Please make sure you are available for all 4 classes. We may be able to offer make up classes with an additional fee of $30 per class. Make up classes are dependent on our trainer’s time and availability.
