Once a dog has a clear and consistent indication at the source of the odor, we are ready to begin searching.
The size of the search areas and the complexity of the hides increase throughout the class.
Prerequisite: Scent Detection Beginner Class

Container Searches
The source odor in concealed within various containers challenging the dog to indicate which one holds the odor
Interior searches
The source odor is hidden within an indoor search area along with food, toys and other distractions
Exterior Searches
The source odor is hidden in an outdoor search area with changing airflow patterns and natural distractions
Buried Hides
The source odor is buried beneath sand, soil or water
